MD. H.I.Tekin is one of the most popular and sought after physicians known for his successful achievements, compassion, and medical approach towards his patients. He works with a professional team from the US, UK, Canada, Turkey, and Greece, who are all fully dedicated to ensure the highest possible standards of care to be delivered to patients every time.
MD. H.I.Tekin was born on the 8th of September in 1962, in the capital city of North Cyprus, Nicosia. He attended Tavas Istiklal Primary School. In 1973, he achieved acceptance into Galatasaray High School, where he continued his middle and upper school education. In 1987, he attended and completed education in the Medical Faculty of Istanbul Cerrahpaşa University, and shortly majored in Forensic Medicine. In 1985, he worked alongside Prof. Dr. C. Pray at the Lille University located in France for a period of five months, in the Endocrinology Surgery branch. Between the years of 1987-1989, Dr. Tekin provided services at the emergency unit and the Forensic Medicine branch at Denizli Government Hospital. In 1988, he obtained a certificate from the Ankara Numune Hospital for First Aid emergency services. From 1991-2004 he worked on-call at the Pakize Tarzi Hospital. Once completing his education at the Zeynep Kamil Hospital in 1995, he then became a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Tekin began working at the same hospital in 1997, at the IVF center alongside the first IVF specialists, Prof. Laufer, as well as Prof. Atasu, Prof. U.Özekici, and Prof. Sahmay. While working at this hospital, he obtained his assisted reproductive medicine license (ART). Between the years of 1993-1995, he has also worked at the Marmara University in the animal research field for endometriosis.
In 2000 he established the 1st IVF center in North Cyprus, Nicosia, which was also the first Turkish donation center, where he would work until 2004. At the end of that year, the 2nd ever IVF centre in North Cyprus was established by him in the Famagusta Life Hospital, where he would continue to work for the next 10 years.
By 2014, Dr. Tekin had turned 39,841 families dreams into reality. After founding the Middle East and Balkans Fertility Center in 2004, he then began treating patients at the Near East University Hospital’s IVF unit.
MD. H.I.Tekin is also working on studies of endometriosis and pronuclear transfer between young and old fertilized oocytes. He is currently participating in animal research, to enhance IVF Media with the association of AM university animal testing labs. He has written a section of the book named Menopause edited by Prof. Dr. Turgay Atasu. Dr. Tekin has assisted the director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at IU CTF, Prof Dr. Turgay Atasu from 1995 to 2004.
In 2018, Dr. Tekin worked as an advisor at the Baku branch of the Moscova University. In 2020, at the opening of the Cyprus American IVF Center, he provided his technical and scientific support for the establishment.
In 2022, he is providing medical advising in the new IVF centre that will open in Nasiriyah. From 2014 to now, he is working at the UK Cypriot Fertility Association fertility clinic, also known as Crown IVF, in the Cyprus Central Hospital in Famagusta. Dr. H.I.Tekin is a member of important scientific societies like the ASRM – ESHRE and Pacific Rims F.A. He has participated in several studies of animals and humans, and can be found within both national and international scientific articles.
As a father of two, he fluently speaks English, French, Turkish, and Russian. MD. H.I.Tekin is always up to date with the most recent studies in fertility medicine, which is why we have our fantastic success rates.
Other Activities
In 1974-1981, in the Galatasaray Sports Club and Galatasaray High School, Dr. HIT has played basketball in the Star, Youth, and A Teams. In the respective high school and club teams, their wins placed them 2nd in Turkey 8 times. During 1984-2004, in the Galatasaray Sports Club’s Youth Team and basketball school, as well as the A Team, amongst different levels he has participated as a coach and manager within different activities. He is a member of Galatasaray Club’s Council Committee, as well as the Galatasaray Former Athletes Association.
In the years of 2007-2010, Dr. HIT received an NPPL pilot license upon training at the Gecitkale Air Sports Federation, and a PPL Pilot License from the Larnaca Airport Tomahawk Flight School in 2010-2012. During 2016-2018, he became a board member of the North Cyprus Air Sports Federation. Between 2011-2014, he attended 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of the Faculty of Law in the Near East University.
